This blog has been created in order to inform public discourse, policy, and decision making by providing factual, objective analysis of issues important to New Paltz. This past month, there has been a multitude of posts on various New Paltz-related Facebook groups regarding the controversial process by which the Supervisor Zimet and Deputy Supervisor Logan have pursued a plan for situating a sewage treatment plant on property adjoining the New Paltz SD High School. As well, there has become a number of other controversial spin-off issues to this topic. One is the manner by which Zimet and Logan have withheld information from another elected member of the Town Board, Dan Torres. Another is the Town Board's refusal to reappoint Tim Rogers to the NP Planning Board; Tim proved his value and service to the community by playing a leadership role on the Planning Board in opposing the Wilmorite PILOT application.
